Humans are the most complicated of all GOD’s creatures. While other animals and plants, and even
bacteria, are simply doing whatever it is that they have been designed for, we
humans never seem to just settle for one interest or occupation. Maybe because we have a deeper awareness of
our kindred relationship with other people that either we are put into the
position or respond in a way that defines us as friend, parent, child, sibling,
neighbour, citizen, subordinate or leader.
Somebody said that people will always have different aspects of
personality. Others who have had more
adverse reactions to the hardships in life actually develop different
personalities. Whatever the condition,
psychiatrists and even modern Christian ministers and scholars argue that
having different aspects of personality or worse, multiple personalities, is
not necessarily a bad or evil thing.
They say these situations were created as a means for survival, both
emotional and mental. What makes it bad
is when the person acts in ways that harms others or harms himself/herself. They say that the best solution is for the
person to accept who he/she really is, come to terms with whatever the hurts,
faults and weaknesses there are, and try to look forward to a better future by
improving and overcoming those faults and weaknesses.
For my part, I can say that it is not too bad if a person keeps some of
his/her life separate or hidden from the public eye. Even the Proverbs say that it is not good for
a person to always reveal or talk about himself/herself to others because it
might be his/her downfall. Many
relationship experts advise that there should be a balance between what a
person gives to others in fulfilment of the duties and responsibilities imposed
upon him/her by society, and what that person must do for himself/herself in
order to protect what he/she considers the most important things in his/her
life.
